About tsukimitea

AN EXPERIENCE
WHERE TEA AND
CALM UNITE

Tsukimi — 月見 — means "moon viewing". It is the Japanese art of pausing to watch the moon rise, to breathe, to be still.

Tsukimitea is that pause, bottled. We work with small family farms in Uji, Kyoto, where matcha has been grown for eight centuries. Every leaf is shade-grown, hand-picked, and stone-milled to order. We bring it from Japan to the world, so you can hold the moon in your hands and drink it.

EIGHT CENTURIES
OF SHADE,
HAND-PICKED

Shade-grown

The leaves are covered for 20 days before harvest, forcing them to build the umami and deep green that define ceremonial matcha.

Stone-milled

In the traditional way: two granite wheels turning slowly, thirty grams of matcha an hour. Slow by design, perfect by trade.

First harvest

Only the first flush of spring, picked once a year at dawn. Rare, fleeting, and unashamedly precious — like the moon itself.
